Frequently Asked Questions

How often do lessons take place? How long is one lesson?

Most students take lessons once a week. A lesson can last 45, 60, or 90 minutes. Extra lessons and longer sessions are discussed separately.

If you plan to study less often than once a week, that is possible, but such lessons are agreed separately depending on availability in the schedule.

There is also an intensive lesson format lasting 5.5 hours, with a 30-minute break in the middle. This format suits students who cannot keep a regular schedule and want a more in-depth session in one day.

How much time should I spend practicing on my own?

The key factor is consistency. Even 30 minutes a day can produce results if you practice regularly.

If possible, do two or three short practice sessions during the day.

For faster and more noticeable progress, a useful target is around 10 hours per week.

What should I buy for practicing at home?

You can read about this in the article on equipment.

Are there any age limits?

Most of my students are adults, but I also work with children from age 12.

I can already play a bit. Can I study without starting from scratch?

Yes, that is possible. In the first lessons, we check the basics and, if needed, bring them into shape: technique, coordination, and understanding of the material. This is important so that further training is systematic and effective.

Which playing styles are covered in the course?

Any style is built on the same core skills. In lessons, we develop those skills, and the student chooses the musical direction where they want to apply them.

As for my own practical experience, it is mainly rock, funk, jazz, fusion, and Latin music.

How should I prepare for the first lesson?
